The Taehwagang River flows through the heart of Ulsan and has been designated as one of Korea’s 20 Eco-Tourism Sites by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. On both sides of the Taehwagang River, the Simni Bamboo Grove stretches for an impressive 4 km. The Taehwagang National Garden Flower Complex is the nation’s largest riverside flower garden of its kind. Various photo spots and interactive spaces, including wheelchair-accessible facilities, make Ulsan’s Simni Bamboo Grove an even more memorable destination.

The Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Zone is Korea’s only tourism destination dedicated to whale culture, where visitors can explore the history and culture surrounding whales. The area features attractions such as the Whale Museum, the Whale Experience Hall, and the Whale Culture Village, making it a popular destination for families.

Daewangam Park features a 600 m trail lined with dense pine forest, leading from the park entrance to the lighthouse. Lined with towering pines that have flourished for over a century, the trail offers a cool, peaceful atmosphere throughout the walk.

The Gangdong Auto Camping Site offers beautiful ocean views, while its caravans are decorated with child-friendly themes such as turtles, crabs, and octopuses. The spacious, comfortable interiors are comparable to those of a vacation pension (holiday rental) and include a bedroom, kitchen, living room, bathroom, table, shade canopy, and parking, allowing visitors to enjoy a relaxing, private camping experience.
