Hyundai Motors is one of the world's leading automobile companies, and its plant in Ulsan, on a 5-million-square-meter site, has an annual production capacity of 1.41 million cars, the largest production amount for a single plant in the world. Petrochemical Complex and Onsan National Industrial Complex
This industrial complex, a core facility in the chemical industry, is home to Korea's leading oil companies such as SK, Lotte, S-OIL, and Hanwha and comprises nearly 50 percent of Ulsan’s economy. The site, filled with oil refineries and storages tanks, heavy chemical plants, and pulp plants, covers about 20.47 million square meters, and is in operation 365 days a year.
Ulsandaegyo Bridge
Ulsandaegyo Bridge is the longest single-span suspension bridge in Korea and third largest in East Asia and connects Nam-gu (Maeam-dong) and Dong-gu (Ilsan-dong) in Ulsan. The bridge provides a vista of Ulsanman Bay and the city's major industrial complexes for automobiles, petrochemicals, and heavy industries. The night view of the complex from the bridge is a must-see vista in Ulsan.
Ulsandaegyo Observatory
The observatory provides a panorama of Ulsandaegyo Bridge, Ulsan’s seven famous mountains, and the city’s three major industrial complexes. The night view from the observatory is one of the twelve sights of Ulsan.
